World Cultural Economic Forum (WCEF) representatives are joined by world leaders in ringing the Closing Bell. The NASDAQ Closing Bell is taking place on the third anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and is launching WCEF.

About World Cultural Economic Forum:

In Louisiana, culture means business. To leverage the state's unique heritage and to ensure that it remains the driving force and embodiment of a global cultural economy, the Office of the Lieutenant Governor, together with the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation & Tourism, will welcome national and international visitors to Louisiana from around the globe October 30-November 1, 2008 to discuss best practices for growing cultural industries as key segments of a global economy. A World Bazaar and Marketplace will showcase artisans and vendors from more than 60 countries on Oct. 31st and Nov. 1st in the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans.
