About All Stars Project, Inc.:
The All Stars Project, Inc. (ASP) is one of America's leading non-profit after-school youth development organizations. Founded in 1981, the All Stars Project is 100% privately-funded and is supported by 5,000 individuals and more than 250 corporations and foundations. ASP creates outside of school, development and performing arts activities for thousands of poor and minority young people. The ASP sponsors four youth development programs for inner-city youth - and is home to the Castillo Theatre which brings cutting-edge, community oriented theatre to the heart of New York City. Year round activities are free to all young people and are supported by a new kind of philanthropic partnership between well-heeled citizens, philanthropists, business leaders and the youth. For almost three decades this private sector support has made it possible for All Stars Project to experiment and innovate, creating breakthrough models for youth development. The All Stars Project national headquarters are located at its 42nd Street Performing Arts and Development Center. The newly renovated state-of the-art center is a gathering place for thousands of poor and minority young people from all five boroughs. In addition to New York City, the All Stars Project sponsors programs in Chicago, IL, Newark, NJ, and the San Francisco Bay Area in California. All Stars is also produced by local organizations in Atlanta, Boston, Los Angeles, and internationally in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
