The NASDAQ Stock Market observes the events that took place on September 11, 2001, with a commemorative Opening and Closing Bell Ceremony and a trading moment of silence.

In lieu of an Opening Bell ceremony, The NASDAQ Stock Market broadcasts the City's ceremony taking place at ground zero from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. on the NASDAQ Tower. The NASDAQ Tower also features a commemorative message throughout the day.

Furthermore, NASDAQ has asked the trading community to refrain from trading for a moment of silence between 10:29a.m. - 10:30 a.m. (representing the fall of the North Tower) to remember those who lost their lives on this tragic day. A commemorative message will be broadcast on the NASDAQ Tower from 10:29 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. during our moment of silence and throughout the day.
