Representatives from the New York Society of Security Analysts and the winning team from Seton Hall University preside over the opening bell to celebrate the 2007 NYSSA Investment Research Challenge.

The Challenge is an eight-month initiative to teach best practices in securities research to the next generation of analysts. The team of students bested six other top area business schools in its report on NASDAQ-listed Tasty Baking Company (TSTY). The team will now compete against teams from Babson College, the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Rice University in the first ever CFA Institute Global Investment Research Challenge on April 26th.

NYSSA is celebrating 70 years as a leading forum for the investment community. A not-for-profit educational organization with over 10,000 members, NYSSA is committed to the promotion of best practices and the highest professional and ethical standards in the investment industry. NYSSA is the largest of the more than 134 societies worldwide that make up CFA Institute, which has more than 89,000 members.
