Marc de Grandpre, Managing Director; Bruce Arena, Head Coach; and the New York Red Bulls professional soccer team preside over the closing bell to kick-off their 2007 Major League Soccer season.
Coached by former United States National Team Manager Bruce Arena, the New York Red Bulls are one of thirteen teams that comprise the top-flight professional soccer league in the United States, Major League Soccer. This off-season, the club signed Claudio Reyna, considered by many to be one of the greatest American-born soccer players in history and was the captain of the U.S. National Team at the last two World Cups. Off the field, the team recently broke ground on their own 25,000 seat soccer stadium, Red Bull Park, which is scheduled to open in the summer of 2008 in Harrison, NJ. The New York Red Bulls are owned by the world's leading energy drink maker, Red Bull GmbH, headquartered in Salzburg, Austria.
