Lucy Griffiths, star of the BBC AMERICA Drama, Robin Hood, and Richard De Croce, Vice President of Programming, BBC AMERICA, preside over the Closing bell.
Ms. Griffiths has appeared in many stage productions including two plays, The White Devil and The Man of the Mode, directed by David Oyelowo (The Last King of Scotland). She has also appeared in another drama on BBC AMERICA, Sea of Souls.
With breathtaking archery, incredible swordplay, a feisty Marian and not a pair of tights in sight -- this is Robin Hood for a new generation. BBC AMERICA's thirteen-episode adventure is the latest take on one of the world's best-loved action heroes. Although modern in some respects, the best parts remain true to legend -- as Robin battles corruption with disguises, tricks and ingenuity, viewers delight in the timeless romance and cheer as injustice is thwarted and wrongs are put right.
Newcomers Jonas Armstrong (Robin), 25, and Lucy Griffiths (Marian), 20, bring vibrance and freshness to the classic roles. Keith Allen (Bodies, Viva Blackpool: Ripley's Return) brings his own brand of malevolence to Robin's arch-enemy, the Sheriff of Nottingham, and Richard Armitage (North & South, Macbeth) plays the Sheriff's handsome but sadistic sidekick, Guy of Gisborne.
Robin Hood premieres on BBC AMERICA Saturday, March 3, 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.
