Mr. Takashi Tsutsui, President & CEO of JASDAQ Securities Exchange, Inc., presides over the opening bell.

The JASDAQ market is the largest stock market for venture businesses and SMEs in Japan. The JASDAQ market was established in 1963 and reborn as a stock trading market for medium and small venture companies in 1983. Subsequently, the market grew rapidly, and the market size came to surpass that of the second section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The JASDAQ market has just been reorganized as the JASDAQ Securities Exchange, Inc., according to the migration of the organization from an over-the-counter market to a securities exchange market in December 2004. In the domestic market, it is launched as a completely new and the first securities exchange established in the twenty-first century.
