David Grieger, Managing Director, Russell Indexes; Kelly Haughton, Strategic Director, Russell Indexes; and Ron Bundy, Director, Russell Indexes; will preside over the closing bell.
Russell Investment Group hosts the NASDAQ Market Close to commemorate the annual reconstitution of Russell's 24 U.S. stock indexes, including the large-cap Russell 1000(r) Index, the small-cap Russell 2000(r) Index and the broad-market Russell 3000(r) Index, at the end of June.
The Russell U.S. index reconstitution is done on a yearly basis to accurately reflect changes in market segments over time, ensuring that Russell's indexes continue to offer the most accurate and timely picture of the U.S. stock market. The reconstitution process is followed closely by many investors because the Russell indexes currently have $3.8 trillion in assets benchmarked to them and account for an industry-leading 54% of all institutional benchmarks.
