Staples Chairman and CEO Ron Sargent and NASDAQ President and CEO Bob Greifeld, will ring the opening bell. Joining them at the ceremony will be hundreds of Staples associates.

Staples invented the office superstore industry 20 years ago this month and to celebrate this 20th anniversary, it will host the first remote opening of The NASDAQ Stock Market in the Northeast. The Opening Bell ceremony will be simultaneously displayed at the NASDAQ MarketSite from NASDAQ's premier broadcast studio in Times Square. The Opening Bell is a ceremonial event that represents The NASDAQ Stock Market's virtual market model. As a result, NASDAQ can be opened from any location bringing together investors and market participants from around the world to mark the beginning of the trading day.
