The awards celebrate the lives of distinguished Americans who trace their roots to the Port of New York and Ellis Island. This year's honorees are: Former Secretary of State Madeleine K. Albright, Pulitzer Prize-winning author Frank McCourt, Chairman and CEO of Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide Shelly Lazarus and Baseball Legend Tommy Lasorda.
