The Amani Toomer Foundation

Amani Toomer, Founder of The Amani Toomer Foundation, presides over the opening bell on Friday, July 15th, to celebrate the Foundation's partnership with the Fund for Public Schools.

The Amani Toomer Foundation worked with the Fund for Public Schools last fall to create new playgrounds at PS 75 in the South Bronx and PS 169 in Brooklyn. They are currently renovating a playground at JHS 198 in Far Rockaway.

The Foundation's Board of Directors will be joined by members of Romain's Kung Fu Tournament team, whose trip to the 2004 WKA Martial Arts Championship in Basel, Switzerland, was made possible by the Amani Toomer Foundation.
