Robert K. Lifton, Chairman & CEO & Howard Weingrow, President of Medis Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: MDTL) will preside over the opening bell.

Medis Technologies has developed the only commercially viable fuel cell product for the consumer market, aimed at satisfying the growing demand for battery power for portable electronic devices. The Medis Power Pack is able to charge a broad array of portable devices -- cell phones, MP3s, digital cameras and electronic games, providing the equivalent of 20 hours of talk time (5-6 charges of the device battery). The Power Pack is planned to be available on the market at the end of this year in limited quantities and carry a retail price of $12 to $19.99 depending on the sales outlet. In addition, through a marketing relationship with General Dynamics Corp, Medis is offering its Power Pack and other fuel cell products to the U.S. armed forces and homeland securities. Medis has also developed the CellScan System which enables pre-testing of proposed chemotherapies on a patient's cancer cell to determine whether the cell is responsive to the particular chemotherapy. Medis has other products in development as well.
