Boris Lipkin, President & CEO of Therma-Wave, Inc. (NASDAQ: TWAV), a leader in the field of precision metrology for semiconductor manufacturing, will preside over the closing bell at the NASDAQ MarketSite in Times Square on Friday, May, 13, 2005.

Mr. Lipkin has been named a 2005 recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, by the National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations (NECO). The award honors distinguished Americans who have made significant contributions to the nation's heritage. Ellis Island Medal of Honor recipients are selected each year through a national nomination process and are sanctioned by the United States Congress and recipients' names are listed in the Congressional Record. To date more than 1,000 American citizens, including six former U.S. Presidents have received medals.
