Summary Quote
The ringing of the opening bell at NASDAQ today marks an exciting time for Kos Pharmaceuticals. This is a day in which they celebrate both financial success and success in the continuing battle to fight heart disease and improve health and quality of life. Today is also important in that it is the second annual nationwide "Dress Red for Women" day to raise awareness on the need to recognize heart disease as the number one killer of men and women in the world, and the need to educate doctors and patients on all lipid factors that affect the risk for heart disease.
Kos is heavily involved in both providing products for heart disease as well as raising awareness of treatments and risk factors. Importantly, Kos has emerged as a significant player in developing cardiovascular therapies for patients afflicted with heart disease. Its goal is to help people live longer and healthier lives, make families stronger, enjoy more quality time together and reduce the disease that can snuff dreams out.
