NEW YORK, Feb. 4, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- StoneCastle Financial Corp. (Nasdaq:BANX), an SEC registered investment company, today announced that CEO Joshua Siegel will participate in two panel discussions at the ABA National Conference for Community Bankers on February 18, at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge in Phoenix, Arizona.
StoneCastle Financial Corp. was established to make long-term, passive, non-control investments in publicly-traded and privately-held U.S. community banking institutions seeking capital for organic growth, acquisitions, share repurchases and other refinancing activities.
Mr. Siegel will participate in a panel discussion titled "Get Investors' Attention for Your Public Offering," to help privately and publicly held banks identify financial metrics, allocate capital, position the management team as a tangible asset and build valuable franchise value.
"To compensate for a shrinking pool of locally sourced capital, many community banks are seeking new sources of direct institutional investments or access to capital via the public markets," said Mr. Siegel. "But with these new sources of capital come new investor expectations that bank executives and directors need to be prepared to meet."
