The Charmin Relief Project Donates $10,000 to Tailgate for Troops
The Charmin Relief Project, a program designed to bring consumers a
better bathroom experience, is teaming up with Tailgate for Troops to
bring state-of-the-art restrooms to tailgaters at the annual Army-Navy
game in Philadelphia.
No matter how competitive college rivalries can get on the field, there
is one issue that unites their fans - a poor portable restroom tailgate
experience. On December 14, tailgaters at the game will be invited to
enjoy an upscale bathroom experience, complete with attendants, to
provide attendees with the comforts of home and ensure every Charmin
restroom visit is as great as the first.
"Charmin's mission is to surprise and delight people with a more
enjoyable go - anytime, anywhere," said Laura Dressman, Charmin
Communications Manager at P&G. "We deeply value our service men and
women. When Tailgate for Troops approached us about the opportunity to
participate in the game, we could think of no better way to provide some
relief and show our thanks."
As recognition of the role Tailgate for Troops plays in improving the
morale and welfare of active duty service members and veterans, Charmin
is also donating $10,000 to the non-profit organization.
"Our organization is as much about ensuring that fans have a good time,
as it is expressing our thanks to those who sacrifice their freedom in
order to defend ours," said Tailgate for Troops President and
Co-Founder, Jeff Webster. "Now, with Charmin's participation, we are
able to give back more to our service members and also provide them with
the quality bathroom experience they deserve."
The Charmin Relief Project kicked off in Denver for the opening of the
NFL season, and then traveled to Oakland, New York and Dallas. The
Charmin End Zone area is set up in the stadium parking lot and provides
interactive games and activities to help fans make the most of their
tailgate. Visitors also have the chance win fun, Charmin-themed prizes.
In conjunction with the program, Charmin launched CharminReliefProject.com,
for all fans to "enjoy the go" by entering a sweepstakes to win weekly
and monthly prizes, with a grand prize of a bathroom makeover. On the
site, fans can see a rolling count of how many people the Charmin Relief
Project has helped so far and find out where Charmin will be next. To
date, the Charmin Relief Project has helped more than (207,000) people
with a better bathroom experience!
