SanDisk Corporation to Join the Nasdaq-100 Index Beginning November

SanDisk Corporation (Nasdaq:SNDK) of Sunnyvale, California, will
become a component of the NASDAQ-100 Index® (Nasdaq:NDX), effective
at the beginning of trading Thursday, November 13, 2003. SanDisk
will also be included in the NASDAQ-100 Index Tracking StockSM (Amex:QQQ).
SanDisk Corporation will replace Biogen, Inc. (Nasdaq:BGEN), which
is scheduled to be acquired by Idec Pharmaceuticals Corporation
(Nasdaq:IDPH). Idec will then change its name and symbol to Biogen
Idec Inc. and BIIB, respectively.
With
a market capitalization of approximately $6.3 billion, SanDisk designs,
manufactures and markets industry-standard, solid-state data, digital
imaging and audio storage products using its patented, high density
flash memory and controller technology.
The
NASDAQ-100 Index, launched in January 1985, is one of the most widely

of the Trust within 3 business days of the effective date of a change
to the composition of the Nasdaq-100 Index.
