ANNUAL CHANGES TO THE NASDAQ FINANCIAL-100 INDEX
NEW
YORK, N.Y.The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. (NASDAQ) announced
today the results of the annual re-ranking of the NASDAQ Financial-100
Index® (NASDAQ: IXFIN), which will become effective with the
market open on Monday, June 23, 2003.
The
following issues will be added to the Index: Instinet Group Incorporated
(NASDAQ: INET), Bank Mutual Corporation (NASDAQ: BKMU), Umpqua Holdings
Corporation (NASDAQ: UMPQ), Anchor BanCorp Wisconsin, Inc. (NASDAQ:
ABCW), BankUnited Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: BKUNA), and The
Trust Company of New Jersey (NASDAQ: TCNJ).
Instinet
Group Incorporated, through affiliates, is an electronic agency
securities broker and has been providing investors with electronic
trading solutions for more than 30 years. Instinet's services enable
buyers and sellers worldwide to trade securities directly and anonymously
with each other, have the opportunity to gain price improvement
for their trades, manage their orders and lower their overall trading

New York, New York, company's common stock had a market capitalization
of $1.1 billion at the time of ranking.
Bank
Mutual Corporation is the holding company for Bank Mutual, which
operates 69 offices in the state of Wisconsin and one office in
Minnesota. The bank offers traditional financial services to individuals
and businesses within its market areas. The Milwaukee, Wisconsin,
company's common stock had a market capitalization of $639 million
at the time of ranking.
Umpqua
Holdings Corporation, headquartered in Portland, Oregon, is the
parent company of Umpqua Bank, an Oregon state-chartered bank. Umpqua
Bank has 64 branches throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington.
Umpqua Holdings also owns a retail brokerage subsidiary, Strand,
Atkinson, Williams & York, Inc. which has nine locations throughout
Oregon and Southwest Washington and offers brokerage services within
Umpqua Bank stores. Additionally, Umpqua Holdings Private Client
Services Division provides tailored financial services and products
to individual private customers. The firm's common stock had a market
capitalization of $555 million at the time of ranking.
Anchor
BanCorp Wisconsin, Inc, is a registered savings and loan holding
company incorporated under the laws of the State of Wisconsin and
is engaged in the savings and loan business through its wholly-owned
banking subsidiary, AnchorBank, FSB. The Corporation also has a
non-banking subsidiary, Investment Directions, Inc., a Wisconsin
corporation, which invests in real estate partnerships. IDI has
two subsidiaries that invest in real estate held for development
and sale. The Madison, Wisconsin, company's common stock had a market
capitalization of $555 million at the time of ranking.
BankUnited
Financial Corporation is the holding company for BankUnited, FSB.
The company offers an array of consumer and commercial banking products
and services. BankUnited operates 41 banking offices throughout
Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Collier Counties in Florida.
The Coral Gables, Florida, company's Class A common stock had a
market capitalization of $540 million at the time of ranking.
The
Trust Company of New Jersey is a full service commercial bank, founded
in 1896, that operates over 100 branches and over 160 ATMs throughout
New Jersey's 13 Northern and Central Counties as well as two locations
in Rockland County, New York. The Jersey City, New Jersey, company's
common stock had a market capitalization of $514 million at the
time of ranking.
As
a result of the re-ranking, 1st Source Corporation (SRCE); Integra
Bank Corporation (IBNK); Millea Holdings, Inc.'s American Depositary
Receipts (MLEA); PMA Capital Corporation (PMACA); Presidential Life
Corporation (PLFE); and Riggs National Corporation (RIGS) will be
removed from the Index.
The
NASDAQ Financial-100 Index includes 100 of the largest domestic
and international financial organizations listed on The NASDAQ Stock
Market based on market capitalization. The Index contains bank and
savings institutions and related holding companies, insurance companies,
