1. Multi-Family Dwellings

Hey people gotta live, and being under-roof helps. Of course regional selectivity is important here (e.g. avoid Detroit). However lack of available credit and a moribund housing market have kept many renters from becoming homeowners, resulting in fewer available apartments and rising rental rates. Sometime the rich arent different. As even the wealthy sour on home ownership, look to multifamily dwellings as an investment. Boston and Atlanta are two up-trending markets. Ways to play? AvalonBay Communities (AVB) is an apartment REIT paying a 3.24% yield.
