Welcome to the NASDAQ MarketSite® Closing Bell web site. Please use this site as a guideline for your event as this site should cover all general logistical questions you might have about the Closing Bell ceremony. For an overview, click on this pdf summary. If you have any additional questions, please contact your event planner or go to our contact page.

  Program

Depending on the length of the individual speeches, the ceremony begins roughly at 3:45 p.m. You will be presented with an agenda that will break down the morning's activities minute by minute; at the end of this message is a sample agenda for your reference.

First your group will view a short video presentation about NASDAQ. Then, a Senior Executive from NASDAQ OMX delivers an official welcome message ending by offering the floor to your CEO/Chairman/President for his/her comments.

Your CEO/Chairman/President addresses the group; bear in mind when crafting remarks for your CEO/Chairman/President, he/she is allotted two minutes maximum for remarks. The audience for these remarks are the guests in the room and those who will watch the raw DVD of the ceremony we provide. We also air the ceremony live on www.nasdaq.com, and our MarketSite Tower with closed captioning.

Finally, at the conclusion of the formal remarks, guests are invited to join the speakers onstage for the official Closing Bell.

For a visual reference, please visit www.nasdaq.com for photos of past opens.

  Photography

During the ceremony, a professional photographer will take photographs of your group on and off stage. Weather permitting, following the ceremony, the group will be escorted outside for pictures with the NASDAQ Tower as a backdrop. Three high-resolution image, suitable for publishing will be sent to the company contact by 6PM pending no time contraints. Additionally, low resolution images will be posted on www.nasdaq.com, archived for approximately one year. Within 3-4 weeks of the ceremony, your company will receive seven 5 x 7 photo prints. In addition, you will be sent a link to a password-protected web-based photo album with the all the photographs from the event, available for purchase.

NASDAQ MarketSite also offers a “Souvenir Picture” to guests. This is a picture that is taken against a green screen and then imposed on a computer image of the NASDAQ tower. “Souvenir Pictures” are taken either before the event or once the ceremony and professional photos are finished.

Guests may also take photos in the studio with their own cameras, but may not use flash as it disrupts broadcasts.

As with the photographs set forth above, NASDAQ will retain copyright ownership in the video and portions may be used by NASDAQ, in NASDAQ’s sole discretion, in NASDAQ web-based and other marketing materials.
