Definition
ESMA is an independent EU Authority that safeguards public values related to securities and markets, ensuring integrity, transparency, efficiency and orderly functioning of securities markets, as well as investor protection. ESMA fosters supervisory covergence amongst securities regulators, and across financial sectors by working closely with EBA and EIOPA
