Creative Specifications - Ad Specs

Please use the following creative specifications when designing online ads for NASDAQ.com.

• Text: 100 characters including spaces
• Graphic: Static Logo 90x15
• Linking URLs
• The ICU is site served only.

• Ad Dimensions: 300x250
• Max file size: 30k
• Animation: 3 loops max, animation must stop after 30 seconds. No blinking.
• Preferred format: Internal DART redirect.
• Flash: This unit accepts flash. Please see the specifications below.
• Expandable Creative: Must be specified in the IO, but this unit can be expandable. Please see specifications below.
• Video: Must be specified in the IO, but this unit can be video. Please see specifications below.
• Third party ad servers: Yes, we accept third party ad servers.
• Other technologies: On a case by case basis. Subject to site testing and approval. Additional fees apply. Must be specified IO.

• Ad Dimensions: 184x29 sent to Nasdaq. We will add the drop shadow to integrate into the menu bar. After the drop shadow is added, the creative will be 185x35. You may then load the 185x35 into your ad server and send us tags, or we can serve it though DART.

• Please supply the following when sending Flash creative:
• .swf - the compressed version of the .fla file must be published for Flash pulg-in 8 or lower.
• .gif - the fallback GIF image
• URL - the linking URL for the ad
• Animation must stop after 30 seconds
• All locally served Flash ads need to have a clickTag encoded rather than a hard coded click-thru command. Do do this, add an object the size of the ad. The object must be converted to a symbol and defined as a "button" not a "movieclip." The button must be present for the duration of the ad. The following code needs to be added to the button actions:

• 160x600 - Maximum Dimensions 240x600 Expands left
• 300x250 - Maximum Dimensions 504x250 Expands left
• 728x90 - Maximum Dimensions 728x270 Expands down
• File size and animation requirements are same as standard ads.
• Must be user-initiated for expansion and sound.
• Must have a close button and automatically close when rolled off.
• If roll-over initiated, there must be a 1-second delay on expansion.
• Advertiser pays additional serving costs

• The interstitial welcome mat is an animated or static site overlay that auto-loads and plays (sound-off) upon site load. This is presented on top of nasdaq.com with the site greyed out with a light-box effect.
• Dimension: up to 640x480
• Filesize: 60k initial 100k total
• Duration: Up to 15 seconds then autoclose.
• 3rd party Tags: Yes
• Interstitial units must have a prominent X CLOSE button in upper right corner.
• ASSETS REQUIRED: Please provide 3rd party ad tag, or if site-served, please provide SWF and FLA and all corresponding fonts and build in a clickTag.

• The Video Interstitial Welcome mat will be presented over the nasdaq.com site in an overlay format with the site greyed out by a lightbox effect.
• Video will autoplay with sound-off, user can click to initiate sound and replay the video.
• Dimension: 800x600 total size
• *Video: 800x356 (16:9) aspect ratio
• *Top banner 800x75 jpg (with close button in upper right)
• *Bottom banner 800x75
• Video Duration: Up to 30 seconds
• Interstitial units must have a prominent X CLOSE button in upper right corner.
• Notes: Video can be any size under the 800 x 600 container, and top/bottom banner can be adjusted accordingly.
• Please submit assets a minimum of 5 business days before the campaign is scheduled to launch.
• ASSETS REQUIRED: Please provide high-quality video file (MOV, MP4, etc) and any assets for the top/bottom banner on the unit. Contact Nasdaq.com if a custom execution is required.
