New Homepage Navigation - Default

The following image is a screen capture of what the homepage looks like when you first arrive at the NASDAQ.com homepage. Each of the numbered sections in the graphic indicate a new feature. The text below this image explains the new feature.

1. How do I enter quotes?

The 10 boxes are now streamlined to a single entry box line. This entry box now allows you to add up to 25 symbols. This enhancement allows you to quickly enter a symbol into the text box. The symbols can be separated by either a space or a comma.

2. Do you still have Mutual fund and option data?

Yes. The mutual fund and option data can be used as they had been in the past. Single click on the radio button and enter in the symbol of your favorite mutual fund or option.

3. What if I don't know the symbol?

If you don't know the symbol please select the "Symbol Look-up". This will allow you to search by the company name or symbol. You even have the ability to use "contains" or "starts with" searches.

4. How do I find index information and charts?

The new design allows you to quickly compare NASDAQ indexes with other indexes. The default display is the NASDAQ Composite and the Dow Jones Industrial Index, the only exception to this rule is during the pre-market time starting at 8:15 AM - 9:30 AM.

Each column works independently so you can select the S&P 500 index or the Russell 2000 index to compare it to a NASDAQ Index.

The Russell 1000 index and the FTSE indexes have been removed from the homepage. They can be found by selecting the "More Index Links". The Russell index can be found on the Sector Indexes page. The FTSE indexes can be found on the Global Indexes page.

5. How do I enter quotes?

New Homepage Navigation - Expanded

The following image is a screen capture of what the homepage looks like when you have either entered a symbol or clicked on the "expand" tab on the NASDAQ.com homepage (it is located to the bottom right of the quote entry box). Each of the numbered sections in the graphic indicate a new feature. The text below this image explains the new feature.

1. How do I add a symbol?

Enter your favorite symbol(s) into the symbol box You have the ability to add up to 25 ticker symbols. These symbols can be saved for future visits, by enabling the save feature on the quote pages.

2. What if I don't know the symbol?

Select the "Symbol lookup" link and search for the stock symbol. It will be added to the quote box entry form.

3. What are the links below the buttons?

The links provide instant access to your favorite site features. Please note that the first symbol will be the "selected" symbol. The "selected" symbol is the first one that is displayed in your list of stocks. If a page is a single stock view, you can tab between the stock symbols on the quote pages for the full detail for the selected stock.

New Quote Navigation

1. How do I expand the page, and Why would I expand the page?

The new version of the homepage allows you single click access to your favorite quote pages. Selecting the expand link will display these features.

The FlashQuote and Infoquote pages list all of the data for the symbols you have entered into the text entry box.

The first symbol entered into the text entry box is considered the "selected" symbol. The selected symbol is displayed on all of the other quote pages as the default. You can toggle between symbols on the quote pages.

2. Do I have to re-enter my symbols every visit?

You will need to re-enter your symbols for each visit unless you have enabled cookies to save your symbol list. More details will be available soon regarding this feature.

3. How do I change or search for symbols for my "symbol list"?

If you would like to edit the symbols in your "symbol list", please select the "Edit Symbol" button. A pop-up box will allow you to edit your "symbol list", selecting the "go" button will save your changes.

4. Do I have to enter the symbols everytime?

You have the ability to enable and disable the retain symbol feature so that you don't need to re-enter your symbols during every visit. The symbols will be stored in a cookie on your machine. We highly recommend you keep a back-up copy of your symbol list in the event your cookies are deleted.

5. What are "Symbol List Views"?

Symbol list views allow you to view all of your symbols at a given time.

6. What are "Stock Details"?

Stock Details are quote pages with symbol specific information regarding the page selected.
