FAQs about navigation:

1. Navigation and
Response Time
|
|
NASDAQ.com
responds to user requests:
In an effort to improve response time NASDAQ.com has made some
changes to the navigation. We have removed most of the
third tier navigation from our left-side menu.
You will
find some of your favorite links as part of "inline"
navigation (shown below).

We also encourage you to use the drop-down
menus on the quote pages. These menus allow you to
select a page and a specific symbol to access content.
We encourage you to explore our new navigation and welcome
your feedback on the site.

a. Available Content for
Stocks in Dropdown
|
|
|
One of the features on the Quotation Row is a dropdown menu
of all components available for a stock. From this dropdown
menu you can select an available feature of interest.
|

|
| To
view the same information on another symbol, hilite it and the
information will appear. To choose a different feature, select
it from the feature dropdown and that information will be
displayed. |
|
|
b. Symbol dropdown
|
|
| The Symbol dropdown
list stores the symbols you previously entered. You may also
add more symbols by using the add entry window next to this
dropdown. |

Currently the display shows that one symbol has been
retrieved and is displaying the data for a "FlashQuote". |
|
|
c. Add a Symbol (New)
|
|
This is a new feature requested by many of our users. A
new stock symbol can be added directly to the list of symbols
you are presently viewing. |

Try
a FlashQuote now and add stocks of your own choosing. |
(1) Enter the new symbol in the "ADD" entry box
.
(2) Hit the "Enter" key or click on the
"ADD" button.
(3) The symbol GILD has been added to the dropdown list.
A FlashQuote now appears for
both BRCM and GILD.
|
A maximum of 10 symbols can be entered individually through
the "Symbol Add" process.
Clicking on any symbol will take you to the Summary Quote
area for that symbol.
|

Retrieve
these 10 Stocks now. |
|
|
d. Change/Edit Symbol List
|
|
Also
included in the Quotation Row is an "Edit Symbol
List" button. Selecting it displays the following:

Within the "Edit Symbol List" window, symbols can be
added, edited or deleted. We also provide a "Symbol
Lookup" feature to allow a search for an unknown symbol
by name, part of the name or ticker symbol. Once located
through "Symbol Lookup", a found symbol is
automatically added to your list of symbols. Upon completing
your symbol entries, you may hit either the "GO"
button or the enter key to retrieve quotes. You may also
select from the features dropdown menu and automatically go to
that area.
We have enhanced the Quotations area in response to the
requests of users. We are working to improve the response time
for obtaining a quote and are continuing to explore ways to
provide the best environment for our users.
