State Street Investor Confidence Index
 Actual 68.8
 Previous 65.9

Highlights
Confidence among institutional investors rose to 68.8 in January from 65.8 in December. The report said confidence in both North America and Europe has strengthened through the month, showing improved appetite for risk in healthcare, utilities, consumer staples and even financials. These results belie the Federal Reserve's inter-meeting cut this morning which cited deteriorating conditions in the financial markets.
