Highlights
Same-store sales were steady and soft in the Aug. 30 week, edging 0.1 percent higher from the prior week but at a 2.2 percent year-on-year rate that's the weakest since mid-July. The report said promotions in the month of August were heavy, helping to stimulate traffic but at the same time limiting sales totals. The report sees August sales at +2.0 percent, down from +2.5 in July. Redbook is up next.
