ICSC-Goldman Store Sales
Definition
This weekly measure of comparable store sales at major retail chains, published by the International Council of Shopping Centers, is related to the general merchandise portion of retail sales. It accounts for roughly 10 percent of total retail sales.  Why Investors Care

Highlights
Year-on-year same-store sales growth is nearly at a halt, at only +0.3 percent for the slowest pace in five years. The week-on-week change, however, is less frightening at +0.7 percent. ICSC-UBS expects same-store sales for the month of March to come in flat. Chain stores will report their March results on Thursday. Redbook is up next.
