Definition
This weekly measure of comparable store sales at major retail chains, published by the International Council of Shopping Centers, is related to the general merchandise portion of retail sales. It accounts for roughly 10 percent of total retail sales.  Why Investors Care

Highlights
Retailers reported a 0.4 percent rise in week-to-week sales, boosted by this year's early Easter. Despite the gain, the year-on-year rate remains at a very soft 1.6 percent. Redbook, which will be released at 8:55 a.m. ET, has been reporting even slower sales than ICSC-UBS.
