Highlights
The year-on-year growth rate for ICSC-UBS's same-store chain sample edged 2 tenths lower in the Dec. 15 week to a soft 2.1 percent. But the report was upbeat, saying some retailers saw increases despite the week's heavy weather. Week-on-week sales, distorted by calendar effects, were in fact very strong, up 1.4 percent vs. a 2 tenths gain in the prior week and a steep 2.0 percent drop the week before. Redbook is up next.
