Highlights
ICSC-UBS's data for the Nov. 17 week are hard to read, showing a steep 0.8 percent week-to-week jump but a soft 2.2 percent year-on-year rate that is 3 tenths below the prior week. The week-to-week readings in this report are often volatile, reflecting calendar effects such as greater gift buying in the current week. The report said conclusions for the month of November can't be drawn until after the coming Black Friday weekend which kicks off the holiday shopping season. Redbook is up next at 8:55 a.m. ET.
