Highlights
Cool weather is giving an early boost to back-to-school shopping, according to the weekly ICSC-UBS report that showed a solid 3.0 percent year-on-year gain in the July 21 week. Sales were down 0.2 percent compared to a very strong July 14 week. The report said sales would have been firmer if not for a run of state tax holidays that begin in early August.
