Highlights
ICSC-UBS's chain-store index rose 0.5 percent in the April 28 week though the year-on-year pace slipped 2 tenths to 1.9 percent. The report said sales remain flat with the week-on-week gain reflecting warmer temperatures. The report noted that high gas prices, now just below $3 per gallon, have so far had little effect on sales. Redbook is up later this morning.
