Financial shares are mixed in today's pre-market session as investors await information on durable goods and as Congress still struggles with resolving budget woes.
In financial stocks news, QIWI ( QIWI ) said it has started the sale of the underwritten public sale of 8,197,866 of its class B shares in the form of American Depository Shares by certain of its shareholders. Underwriters will have the option to buy an additional 1,229,680 ADSs. The selling shareholders will receive all the proceeds from the offering.
QIWI was down 1.27% to $31.91 in after-hours trading yesterday.
And, Carlyle Group ( CG ) said it is acquiring Metropolitan Real Estate Equity Management, a real estate fund of funds manager with more than $2.6 billion in capital commitments.
Carlyle Group said it will fund the transaction with equity from its balance sheet. It didn't disclose the financial terms of the deal. CG closed up 0.51% yesterday.
