Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the
individual equity names with the most call and put buying on
optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.
Dish Network (DISH): some 5,472 February 36 calls were sold for
$2.11 against open interest, and 7,680 February 38 calls were
bought for $1.30. The trade probably resulted from a long position
being rolled to the higher strike. DISH rose 2.22 percent to
$36.77.
Ford Motor (F): Some 5,000 June 16 calls were purchased for $0.24
as investors look for the automaker to keep climbing. F rose 0.75
percent to $13.45.
Clearwire (CLWR): Over 15,000 January 2014 2.50 puts were bought
for $0.10 and $0.15 as investors seek protection against a
potential long-term drop. CLWR rose 7.71 percent to $3.15.
Hewlett-Packard (HPQ): A block of 10,000 August 13 puts was bought
for $0.78 as an investor braces for a pullback in the share price.
HPQ rose 1.88 percent to $15.69.
Nokia (NOK): Almost 6,000 February 4.50 calls were bought for $0.14
and $0.15 but volume was far below open interest at the strike. NOK
fell 3.95 percent to $3.89.
