Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Sprint Nextel (S): More than 59,000 November 6 calls were purchased for $0.05 to $0.07 as investors position for upside in the share price. S rose 0.44 percent to $5.72.

Anadarko Petroleum (APC): More than 15,000 November 82.50 calls were bought, mostly for $0.23, as investors look for the energy stock to rally. APC rose 1.94 percent to $70.48.

General Electric (GE): A block of 10,000 January 2014 17 puts were bought for $0.77 but volume was below open interest at the strike. GE rose 0.27 percent to $22.70.

Bank of America (BAC): Almost 45,000 November 10 calls were purchased, mostly for $0.26 and $0.27, as traders position for the stock to keep climbing. BAC rose 1.06 percent to $9.54.
