Lotus F1 Team deployed an entire range of Juniper switching,
routing, security, wireless LAN and application software
solutions to develop a flexible, uninterrupted and secure
mission-critical network infrastructure. Apart from this, the
Team simplified the operations of its two data centers by
installing Juniper's QFabric switches.
Generally, a huge amount of data is processed by each team during
a race. Lotus F1 feeds roughly 15MB (megabyte) of data per lap,
per car, per race. This leads to approximately 1,000 statistics
after every lap, which are then immediately transferred to race
engineers for planning and decision making. Juniper's networking
solutions will ensure fast and reliable processing of such huge
amount of data while ensuring its safety.
Being technologically advanced, Lotus F1 expects to strengthen
its entire operations, starting from the garages at trackside to
the team's factory in Enstone, Oxfordshire and be competitive. No
doubt that the Team's success will bring in similar deals for
Juniper's networking architecture runs on the Junos operating
system, which enjoys great demand. Junos is a reliable,
high-performance network operating system for routing, switching
and security. It simplifies networking operations while reducing
the cost of ownership.
We remain encouraged by the rapid deployment of Juniper's
networking products and services by organizations and government
verticals to meet growing business demand. We also appreciate
Juniper's continuous efforts to make strategic acquisitions,
which enrich its product portfolio.
Despite solid product demand and potential business wins from
) and Verizon Inc., we believe stiff competition from
F5 Networks Inc.
Cisco Systems Inc.
) and constricted federal spending will pressurize fundamentals.
Currently, Juniper has a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold).
