Egypt's EGX30 Rises Close To Nine-Month High, magicJack VocalTec near High for Year, Dubai DFM Down Almost 5%

While most Middle Eastern stock markets were down today, Egypt's EGX30 Index rose 0.43% to 5,452.03, its highest level in almost nine months. Orascom Telecom Holding SAE ( ORSTF ) rose 5.5% on speculation that the Algerian unit of North Africa's biggest mobile-phone company is nearing acquisition by the country's government. The Dubai DFM continued falling, off another 4.82%. The financial and real estate sectors were off sharply today in the Dubai DFM. The Market Vectors Gulf States Index ( MES ) exchange traded fund is down 0.87% to $20.50.

Israel's TA-25 index declined for a third day, falling 0.1% to 1,075.32. magicJack VocalTec ( CALL ), the ADR for an Israeli communications company, is up another 2.16% to $23,63. Year to date, magicJack VocalTec has risen 69.33%. The 52-week high for magicJack VocalTec is $23.99.
