Alstom Gets EUR170 Million Contracts To Service Power Plants in North America
French power plant equipment manufacturer Alstom SA (ALO.FR) Monday said it was awarded two long term service
agreements for three natural gas-fired power plants in the U.S. and Canada.
- The two contracts represent total revenues of 170 million euros ($230 million).
- The first contract is a service agreement for EquiPower's, Milford combined cycle power station in Connecticut, USA.
This contract was booked in the second quarter of the fiscal year.
- Alstom was also chosen to execute a LTSA contract with TransAlta Corp. (TAC) in Canada for their Sarnia cogeneration
power plant in Ontario and Poplar Creek Cogeneration power plant in Alberta. Both TransAlta plants operate Alstom built
GT11N2 gas turbines while EquiPower uses Alstom's GT24 turbines. The parts agreement will be progressively booked
throughout the execution of the contract.
