Nigeria Plans To Export 2.2 Million B/D Crude, Condensates In Jan
LONDON -(Dow Jones)- Nigeria plans to export about 2.2 million barrels a day
of crude oil and condensates for January 2010, well above around 2 million
barrels a day in December, partly due to a boost in output amid a recent
ceasefire agreement, traders said Friday.
January's volume will also be much higher than its production quota under the
Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries of 1.673 million barrels a day.
The country is scheduled to export a total of 77 cargoes in January, including
some cargoes with smaller size.
It plans to export one Abo cargo, seven Agbami, five Akpo, five Amenam, three
Antan, five Bonga, four Bonny Light, six Brass River, three EA, six Erha, six
Escravos, six Forcados, two Okono, three Okwori, one Pennington, 11 Qua Iboe,
and three Yoho, according to traders who had seen loading programs.
Output of crude from the country has been severely disrupted by militant
attacks on energy infrastructure over the last six months, but a recent
ceasefire struck between the government and some of the rebel groups in the
Niger Delta helped boost the production.
