UPDATE: UN Worker Shot Dead Close To Philippine Massacre Site
MANILA (AFP)--A gunman shot dead a local UN Children's Fund worker in a
lawless part of the southern Philippines near the site of a political massacre
earlier this week, police said here Friday.
An unidentified gunman shot Nestor Bulahan at a bus stop in Maguindanao
province on Thursday morning, the national police headquarters said in a
statement.
Bulahan died in hospital a short time later, the statement said.
Unicef said earlier it was likely to be a private matter.
