Morgan Stanley Hires Lin As Asia Distressed Asset Sourcing Head
HONG KONG -(Dow Jones)- Morgan Stanley (MS) said Thursday it hired Carol Lin
to head its sourcing and distribution in Asia for loans, distressed and stressed
assets.
Lin, who will be based in Hong Kong and joins the company in February, was
previously global bank sourcing coordinator at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in
New York.
In her new role, she will source distressed and stressed loans from banks.
The hire is part of Morgan Stanley's moves to expand its fixed-income
offerings in Asia, said Ranodeb Roy, head of the group's Asian interest rate,
currency and credit division.
Lin will report to Ben Falloon, who is a managing director in the interest
rate, currency and credit division in Asia, outside Japan.
"With global bank balance sheets shrinking, stressed and distressed products
assume new importance," said Falloon.
