BANGKOK -(Dow Jones)- Thailand's Cabinet Tuesday approved an upward revision of the civil work budget for the extension of an electric-rail project, known locally as the blue line, to THB52.46 billion ($1.58 billion) from the THB48.82 billion previously approved,

An international bidding process for the civil work is expected to kick off early next year, with the contract expected to be signed in September, Transport Minister Sophon Zaram said after the weekly Cabinet meeting.
