EU Seeks Info From Spain On Recovering Illegal Aid To Magefesa
BRUSSELS -(Dow Jones)- The European Commission Friday asked Spain for details
on the steps it has taken to recover illegal government aid it gave to the
Magefesa Group, a maker of small appliances and stainless steel articles.
The case dates back to 1989, when the commission ordered Spain to recover the
aid. The European Court of Justice in 2002 said Spain hadn't followed the
commission's order.
