India Minister: To Stick To 3G Bandwidth Auction Schedule
NEW DELHI -(Dow Jones)- India's federal government will stick to the schedule
for the proposed auction of third generation, or 3G, radio bandwidth, Science
and Technology Minister Prithviraj Chavan said Thursday.
The government had said earlier it will launch electronic auctions Jan. 14 to
allot four slots of bandwidth for 3G mobile phone services in most parts of the
country, and has set a base price of INR35 billion for one such slot.
