National Grid CEO: Co Will Look At EDF's Sale Of UK Power Network
LONDON -(Dow Jones)- U.K. gas and power network operator National Grid PLC (
NGG) will take a look at Electricite de France SA's (EDF.FR) U.K. power grids
when they are sold next year, said Chief Executive Steve Holliday, Thursday.
"It fits very clearly into our strategy...we will have a look at it," Holliday
told reporters in a conference call. However, National Grid has previously
looked at the sale of similar power networks in Germany and found the terms
insufficiently attractive, he added.
