Vietnam Government: To Hold Consultative Group Meeting Dec 3-4
HANOI -(Dow Jones)- The Vietnamese government said Thursday it has agreed to
hold the meeting of the Consultative Group for Vietnam on Dec. 3-4 in Hanoi.
The event will be a forum for the government and international donors to
review the country's socioeconomic development and the disbursement of the
official development aid pledged by foreign donors last year, the government
said.
Representatives from the Asian Development Bank and government officials from
around 50 countries, including the U.S., Japan, Britain and France, are expected
to attend the meeting.
At last year's consultative group meeting, donor countries and international
development organizations committed more than $5 billion to support poverty
reduction and Vietnam's development agenda.
