Peru's Cerro Verde SAA To Pay $350 Million Dividend
LIMA -(Dow Jones)- Sociedad Minera Cerro Verde SAA (CVERDEC1.VL) said
Wednesday that it will pay a dividend worth $350 million, or some $0.99983999
per common share.
The dividend will be paid on Dec. 18, Cerro Verde told the Peruvian securities
regulatory agency.
The copper mining operation in southern Peru is majority-owned by Freeport
McMoRan Copper & Gold. (FCX)
Compania de Minas Buenaventura SAA (BVN) and a subsidiary of Sumitomo Corp. (
8053.TO) also have equity stakes in the company.
