China To Loan Bolivia $60 Million For Natural Gas Investment
BUENOS AIRES -(Dow Jones)- China will loan Bolivia$60 million to invest in
natural gas drilling and distribution equipment, Bolivia's state news agency ABI
reported Wednesday.
The 20-year loan will carry an annual interest rate of 2%, Bolivia's
hydrocarbon minister, Oscar Coca, told ABI.
Bolivia's state energy company, Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales
Bolivianos, plans to use $31 million of the credit to purchase two large
drilling rigs, while the rest of the loan will go toward adding 100,000
residential gas connections, Coca said.
