Taiwan, China To Complete Signing Of Financial MOU Monday -
Report
TAIPEI -(Dow Jones)- Taiwan and China will complete the signing of a
memorandum of understanding on financial supervision Monday evening, the
island's government-controlled Central News Agency reported, without citing
sources.
The two sides are now exchanging documents, which financial regulators on both
sides will sign, the agency said.
The MOU is a step toward the two sides opening their financial markets to each
other.
Financial Supervisory Commission Chairman Sean Chen will hold a news
conference shortly, the commission said.
Commission officials reached by Dow Jones Newswires declined to confirm
whether the MOU has been signed or will be signed Monday.
