Estee Lauder Resumed Share Buybacks This Week
DOW JONES NEWSWIRES
Estee Lauder (EL) resumed its share buy back program this week, the company
said at its annual meeting Friday.
The beauty company has the authorization to buy 22 million shares.
Estee Lauder suspended the buyback program about a year ago as credit
conditions tightened and as the company sought to keep cash on hand for
acquisitions and other requirements.
In recent months as credit conditions have improved the company has said it
would consider resuming the program.
